LIFESTYLE: DKNY Be Electric Eau de Toilette Collection

By now I'm sure you have all realised that I am quite a fan of the DNKY Be Delicious range all the way from the beginning! I think I've probably had at least one of each fragrance they've release which is more than can be said for me mum - she bought a couple of the the original red and green ones every single year for around 5 years!

I was very excited to hear there are three new ones of the horizon which are launching this month! The Be Electric Range but get it quick becuase its a limited edition range. Of course, again they are the iconic apple bottles but this time all three are crazy, fluorescent colours. Loving Glow which is hot pink, Citrus Pulse which is the orange one and Bright Crush which is the lime green one. These spring releases are inspired by a city that never sleeps and the optimism of exciting new beginnings.
Lets start with the green one because it is my favourite of the three! I think I like it so much because it is a really familiar scent and reminds me of my favoruite summer back when I was 15. I can't work it out for sure but I'm thinking it was my friend who wore something similar. It's funny how a smell can take you right back isn't it. It's super fresh and very light and summery. I'll definitely be wearing this one alot when it starts to get a bit warmer.

The pink has a much older smell and a more classic scent. Its not unpleasant but it's not really my style. I think it must be the vanilla and musk in it that I don't like because the grape and pineapple in the description sound right up my street.

As for the orange one, it is very fruity and also something I would wear during the summer, this one is much more summer holiday though. Again, like the green one, it takes me back to past summers because it smells just like a sex on the beach cocktail which I quite like. It has a fruitieness like the orange juice and a sweetness like the grenadine in the drink. Interesting my first thoughts weren't far off because it contains nectarine, mandarin and passionfruit. Delicious!

FRAGRANCE: Daisy Dream Forever

Aren't perfumes just the perfect Christmas gift?! I am seriously starting to get excited about the festive season now and am working away on my gift guides for you guys! But in the mean time, check out this new Marc Jacobs perfume - the perfect gift!! 

 I have always been drawn to the Marc Jacobs perfumes from their bottles. They are always so pretty and girly, covered with flowers but this one here, Daisy Dream Forever is the first one I have owned and it looks perfect in my collection. It was released ealier this year in July and I love that it's a blue one, not so girly as the others but still very pretty and feminine! Adorned with frosted flowers and the chrome lid which adds a bit of sophistication.

I have read in many places that it is a deeper, more updated version of the original daisy dreams although I have not smelt that one. This new one takes inspiration from blue skies and daisies. It make me think of carefree afternoons under the sun in a field and I love that! I love the fruity notes of the scent plus its quite subtle and not overpowering! I think it's going to be a favourite!

FRAGRANCE: Michael Kors:The Gold Collection

As your reading this, I am sat at an airport with Andrew. We are off to France for the weekend with his family to celebrate his mums birthday! It's been a bit of a manic week and after deliberating on what to get her, we are all set to go! We decided on something from Buyagift (it's a great idea to check  vouchacodes for things like this for great deal) so hopefully she will enjoy that when we are all back! 

 Anyway, on to todays post:

I only started getting into the Michael Kors hype around this time last year. I was at lakeside with my mum doing some christmas shopping when she dragged me over to the Michael Kors concession in House Of Fraser. She is literally obsessed so while she was doing her thing, I had a wander and came across a bag. It was tiny and limited edition so she talked me into getting it as my christmas present that year and I am glad she did - it is perfect.

So I've become a bit of a Michael Kors fan, it was the first designer bag that I have ever liked the look of so I was pretty excited when I was sent some perfume from the brand as I now have high expectations! 

The Gold Collection was designed to reflect the opulence and luxury and was launched 19th August this year! Gold embodies the luxe glamour of the Michael Kors woman and has become a symbol of Michael’s world (I was on to something with my bag! The limited edition part was the gold edging)

There are three scents in the collection which come in sizes 30,50 and 100ml. The square bottles are sleek and sophisticated and so are the scents, they are very grown up compared to alot of the perfumes I have been reviewing lately. My favoruite is the rose gold one because it is just a little bit sweeter than the others.

WHITE LUMINOUS GOLD:
An intoxicating burst of pear, jasmine and amber in a bright and exotic signature.

24K BRILLIANT GOLD: 
Shimmers with orange mandarin, voluptuous florals and a rousing spark of woodiness.

ROSE RADIANT GOLD: 
Sparkling spice, textured with a charming femininity of rich florals and soft musks.

FRAGRANCE: Ari By Ariana Grande

If you follow me on snapchat (xxgeorgina18) you might already know that my blog is going to get a little bit perfume crazy in the coming weeks! I have had so many new ones arrive in my post and of course I want to share with you guys - they are also perfect Christmas presents so its not a bad time to be talking about them!

Today, its Ari by Ariana Grande - her first fragrance which only launched last month so its super new and I really like it. This 50ml bottle is very cute and girly with rose gold details and the white pom pom attached to the lid. I love the crystal effect on the bottle giving it that old fashioned look with the rose gold for a bit of an updated feel. I also love that you can see the pink liquid through the bottle - it all adds to the girlyness.

The fragrance is announced as luscious and sexy, opening with sparkling fruity notes connected to its ultra-feminine floral heart and the base of musk, woods and marshmallow accord.

It's fruity and sugary sweet and after smelling it, having the work sparkling in the official description makes sense, I just cant describe how.  

Its not too strong or overpowering, making it quite subtle which is actually lovely. Its the perfect every day scent.

FRAGRANCE: Ghost Girl

I was super sad that I couldnt make the launch party for Ghost Girl a few weeks back but I was still lucky enough to get hold of a sample of the new fragrance to chat to you guys about! I have gone perfume crazy recently so keep an eye out for all my post - I have so many coming up!

 The box for this one is interesting with metallic writing in all different colours saying things like adore, love, come close and me all over the white background - their inspiration was the spirit of girlish freedom, feistiness and love of street art which I can see. I did love the bright pink on the inside when I opened the box.

 The bottle itself is a funky shape and has the same writing all over it. It's tall and thin with a wider base and the lid comes off to reveal a metallic pink spritzer which you can see running down through the bottle too.

 I think the design and packaging are both very young and girly and its not the sort of thing I would pick up in a shop although the scent itself if a little bit older and a bit more my style, its sweet but understated and not too in your face like some sweet, fruity scents can be.

I'm not 100% won over for myself but I think it would be great for a teenage girl (perfect Christmas gift) so I guess the name and description are perfect.

FRAGRANCE: DKNY - Be Desired Perfume

I grew up with Be Delicious by DKNY. My mum was totally obsessed and it became a bit of a saturday night scent in my house. It reminds me of evenings sitting in her room and helping her pick what jewellery to wear while she got ready to go out for dinner with my dad or friends.
 
Be Delicious was released in 2004 (over 10 years ago!!) and on the 14th October 2015 DNKY release their new addition to the collection - BE DESIRED.

"With a sparkle of orange oil combined with tart blackcurrant and dewy violet leaves. Iced grapefruit teases the senses with a vivacious energy. Exotic elements bring a succulent texture to the bouquet of jasmine sambac and turkish rose. Precious woody notes of cedarwood and vibrant amber wood"
Again in their iconic apple bottle and again very fruity. It still smells very fresh and green like the original but just a bit different, a bit updated I guess - the grapefruit seems to come through quite strongly which is lovely. I've been wearing it everyday and I just love the freshness of it.

BEAUTY: Britney Spears, Rocker Femme Perfume

I must have been the only girl my age who never had a Britney perfume growing up - I'm not sure why - so when I was offered a bottle of Britney Spears Femme, Rocker Fantasy of course I was happy to take up The Fragrance Shop on their offer! 

The bottle is very similar to the original with a darker bottom that fits the edgy, rock theme. I love the bright, fun colour and the gems dotted around - I think the shape is so pretty. It reminds me of something you would see on a dressing table in a film.

Rocker Fantasy came out last year in 2014 and its very fruity and a little bit oriental. If you know me, you will know that those are two things I love in a perfume or scent. There are notes of blackberry, jasmine and vanilla running through it.

BEAUTY: Harajuku Lovers Love Eau de Parfum

I remember when the first ever set of these these perfumes came out when I was around 15, my best friend had one and I used to love going to her house and spraying it all over me haha. They were the cool new perfumes from Gwen Stefani and there were 5 cute little dolls to collect. They were pretty cool back then but their new updated look is super sleek and much edgier. As much as I love the bottle, I also love the box it comes in, I am a big fan of the drip design and use to have it on my nails all the time! One thing that I though was cool was on the inside flap of the lid, it says "A fatal Attraction To Cuteness" which I loved - it gave that super cute but a little bit sinister feel to it.

The one I have here is called Love but as I said, there are five in the collection and they are each a different metallic colour. Online, I loved the colour of the green one although the scents mentioned in this one sounded more my type - "A mouthwatering fruity floral, featuring juicy apple, dewy pear, surrounded by jasmine, cashmere woods and creamy musks." I'm pretty pleased that I went with this one because I absolutely love the smell. Its super fruity as it said but it's very sweet and so fun too! I've been wearing it everyday.

BEAUTY: 007 & Hugo Boss Perfume For Women

Today, I wanted to show you a couple new perfumes that I got from The Fragrance Shop last week.

This first one is 007 for women and it comes in 30ml, 50ml and 75ml. I really like a black perfume bottle and I love its slick diamond cut look and the rose gold band, nozzle and box. This is definitely a bottle I would want to put on display in my room.

The smell is described as oriental with top notes of Bergamot, Black Pepper, Rose Milk. Middle notes of Blackberry, Gardenia, Jasmine and base notes of Black Vanilla, Cedarwood, White Musk. What do I think? It's quite in your face as you spray it to start with but quickly fades to a pleasant subtle smell that you catch every now and again. To me, it's a mix of sweet and floral, alot more sweeter than I was expecting but I really like it.
And the second one is Hugo Woman By Hugo Boss which also come in 30ml, 50ml and 75ml on The Fragrance Shop website. I could smell this one as soon as I took the wrapping off and I fell in love with it straight away, it smells like summer. It's very light and floral and very feminine.

The bottle is very different from the one above but it's not terrible, I quite like its circular shape - very simple and classic looking with its red outline but it's the smell that I really love here.

BEAUTY: Black Opium Perfume By Yves Saint Laurent

Introducingggggg my new favourite perfume! Its called Black Opium by YSL* and I got mine from Fragrance Direct. It's very sweet and florally but very spicy at the same time. The website says it contains "An addictive gourmand floral with notes of: Black Coffee – for a shot of adrenaline; White Florals – to instantly seduce; and Vanilla – for sweetness and sensuality." The smell lasted all day - it has great staying power  which was great because I love it so much! I'm definitely going to be using it alot.

 I also love a pretty perfume bottle and to be honest alot of the time I will only try a perfume if it has a pretty bottle! This one I like alot but pretty isn't the word for it it's more edgy, dark and mysterious - black and covered with dark glitter which makes its very Glam Rock plus this 30ml size is a great one to keep in your hand bag!
