Late November, last year I decided that I wanted to go to Brighton, not sure why because the weather was terrible but I wanted to go. So we did. Instead of a hotel, Andrew and I decided we wanted to try out a B&B as that is something we have never done before and after countless episodes of 4 in a bed it opened my eyes to how nice they can be.

We staying at The Oriental on Oriental Place, Brighton and were very impressed to say the least. We were greeted in the reception with a drink and a cake each while we checked in which was a very nice touch! This was just the first of many nice touches that really made a difference throughout out stay!

We were shown around and taken up to our room, neither of us knew hat to expect. We opened the door to a very large room, bigger than alot of the rooms we have stayed in at hotels before, London or otherwise! The theme was silver and purple which gave a very classy feel to it, there was a sofa, a wardrobe, a dressing table and a big white bed. We also spotted a few more of those lovely touches that I was telling you about. Firstly, there was a bottle of water on each bedside table which doesn't sound like a big deal but Andrew and I always end up having to go out to a shop in search of water for the room so that was very appreciated! They also left us out a selection of fresh l'Occitane bath stuff and the most exciting thing was tea. There was such a selection of all sorts of teas, biscuits and a little basket filled with crisps and chocolate. Why doesn't every hotel do that?!

Luckily for us, we had an en suite which came with a jacuzzi bath so we haaad to make a trip into town to pick up some bits from lush which I mentioned here. We were given a house key and a room key so we were able to come and go as we pleased. We went into town to the Hotel Du Vin for dinner which was lovely but very overpriced in my opinion, it cost more that a nice meal out in central London. We got a cab back to the room to use my new Bath bomb before getting into the huge bed ready to eat all the snacks and watch the Xfactor.

Breakfast the next morning was held in the little reception room which had about five tables. Andrew and I settled in the corner and started with tea which was brought in the cutest little tea pots. We then had a two course breakfast which was very filing and made exactly how we asked before going back up to the room to pack up, check out and make our way home!

We had such a lovely time that we have decided that we would love to come back to stay again over the summer when we weather is better!

I have been wanting to try out Northern Lights from Lush for a few weeks now! As with my sparkler ballistic from Lush, at first I wasn't really interested - I think the shape made me think it wouldn't be great as it wasn't a classic bath ballistic shape but with both of them I have been wrong and they are now both two of my favourites - Never judge a book by its cover eh?

It was only after I used the Sparkler that I decided that I wanted to try this one but it was so hard to get hold! I couldnt find it anywhere in London, it was only when I wondered into Lush with andrew while we were in Brighton that I spotted one! Great timing since we were having a relaxing weekend away!

As I dropped it in, I could smell the super relaxing jasmine and ylang ylang scent! It started foaming lovely pastel colours which got darker and darker - bright purple with blue and yellow shooting out of each end! I didn't see any stars or the popping candy like the description says but the colours were pretty impressive and thats what I wanted, it also took forever to finish fizzing which I like as I love watching them. I'm definitely looking forward to using another one of these!

I've been invited down to Brighton a few times recently and I'm really starting to like to down there! This time I was lucky enough to be put up in a hotel for the night too, all thanks to On The Beach, an online travel company.

I went along to Brighton beach to watch Alpha Papa on the big screen. We were given VIP wristbands and food - I got a big plate of nachos and a burrito- yummm we all had a lovely time chatting over dinner and getting to know each other, apparently most of the girls were actually frim Brighton! We were also lucky enough to meet with the star of the film, Steve Coogan - that's another celeb photo to add to my list haha and then we settled down to watch the film with a bag of popcorn!

After the film we all walked back to the hotel which just so happened to be outside the station, perfect location for me since I had to be back in Essex super early the next day! We all went up to one of the rooms which had been set out for the perfect girly sleepover, we even each got our own personalised robes which was amazing. There was Prosecco, (my faaave) sweets, cakes and chocolate, goodie bags and loads of Lush products - As you can probably image it was a super fun end to the night!

I had another event on Saturday as I mentioned so in the morning I rushed back into London and back out again to Chelmsford! The Brighton event actually carried on into Saturday where the girls had breakfast in the hotel and went off for some pottery painting which was a shame to miss, I haven't done that for years and its always super fun!

On Friday I was invited down to Brighton along with some other bloggers to meet up with one of the companies I work very closely with - Propellernet!! I got there two hours early, as usual, but it was fine this time as it gave me a nice bit of time to have a wander around on my own, I even found a Boost juice bar so I was sorted for a little while, they are my favourite things ever! After a look around the shops, I took a leisurely walk along the sea front and soon arrived at the Hotel Du Vin, (still early) I took this time to chat to the girls about my trip the Thailand over some prosecco! They gave me loads of great advice!!

As the other bloggers started arriving, we all sat down around the huge table for a lovely lunch, they had put on a great spread and kept all of our glasses topped up whilst we got into a huge discussion about what we predict for blogging, 2015 trends and all those things that bloggers hate like silly emails starting "Dear Blogger..." It was very interesting and I learnt alot about how everyone else works which I really appreciated!!

After that we were sent out to explore Brighton on a treasure hunt. I paired up with Laura (She was on the #ActiveHen weekend with me) and luckily for me, she's from Brighton and got us to each location without even looking a the map, she was greaatt!! Brighton is actually the loveliest little place and we were so lucky with the weather, I had the best time just wandering though the lanes. The treasure hunt was super exiting too - getting to the next shop and seeing what they had for us!! We ended up with a super cute little cupcake from Brighton's answer to the hummingbird bakery, a vintage leather clutch from Beyond Retro, a bag of goodies from the local salon, a box of sweets from Cyber candy, some fro yo (perfect for the weather) and a few other bits and pieces!!

After all that work we met up with everyone at Dirty Blondes for an evening of champagne and cocktails! I had loads of fun and cant wait to now get back to Brighton with Andrew! After that, I headed back to London and met my friends in Shoreditch for a bar crawl, it was a crazy day but I had the best time haha!
