It was my birthday last week and I totally forgot to tell you guys! Andrew took me to Disneyland to celebrate (amazing) but since everyone was either at work (Andrew, friends) or asleep (dad, hungover brother) on the day, I got to spend the majority of it with Molly.

I'm thinking she enjoyed my birthday just as much as I did because in the morning whilst everyone was still awake, we started off with a nice long walk through the park and to the high street where we had brunch in the sunshine! Avotoast for me, obviously and Molly got most of my brother’s sausage along with some of my halloumi and a load of my dads feta so everyone was happy! Then we went to the bank which she enjoyed more than I would have thought, she had everyone on the floor stroking her for a good ten minutes. When we got home everyone else went off to bed and Molly and I got cozy in her bedroom (the second lounge) and settled in for an afternoon of TV and snacks whilst it was raining outside.

Talking of little doggies, I wanted to share with you FRONTLINE’s new campaign. They sent it over to me on Friday and I managed to get it to play on the TV; Lucky Molly, having the room with the only smart TV in the house! Anyway, the videos are really fun - they're working with two celebrity pooches on a little campaign. Luna and Scrumble star in a couple of videos showing you around their owner’s house and viewers have to guess who they belong too; hence the title, Through The Flea Hole! OMG they are too cute.

So I know this post isn't as relevant to my blog as it was last year (when I was much more lifestyle) but my babesiosis posts got so much traffic that I figured people must be finding them useful.

Molly turns 5 this year and I honestly can’t tell you how much she has changed our life. She cheers everyone up and brings us all together; and she’s always there at the door to greet me, whether I've just popped to the shops or I'm just arriving home from the airport in the middle of the night. She is a huge part of our life, and so a pet should be!

Although I love her like mad, with my anxiety I really worry about her. Did I shut the front door properly? She hasn't been to the toilet yet! Why has she been sleeping so much today?! All sorts of crazy things run through my head when it comes to her, I can imagine this is what having a child is like.

Whilst I sit and pick twigs and leaves out of her fur after a walk, one thing that I don't often think about is what parasites she could be picking up on her walks.

A survey of over 1000 dog owners nationwide carried out by  Pet Parasite Action  has found that while 85% of us happily hug our dogs (we don't leave her alone more like), most dog owners are unaware of which parasites present the greatest danger to their pet or their family.

So please just take this as a little reminder from me: Remember to get your pet checked over by a vet every once in a while and ask them about a simple way to help protect your pet against parasites inside and out.

Whilst I wasn't able to make this one, the house is going up and down the country for a three month roadshow and I did manage to go along to All About Dogs this weekend with Andrew to give them a visit! 

I was pretty excited, I'm not gonna lie. There were dogs everywhere and I spent most of the afternoon sat on the floor stroking them whilst Andrew stood awkwardly waiting for me!

Once I got that out of my system we concentrated on what we were there for! Inside the house we learned loads about fleas, ticks and how the new product helps! Double action FRONTLINE Plus not only kills fleas and ticks on the pet, but it also contains an active ingredient that stops flea eggs from hatching in the home which is where 95% of the problem is! I leaned that on my fact hunt around the house!
