FASHION: My Boots And Me With New Look

Over the knee boots are a trend that I fell in love with last year! Those big chunky boots came out on River Island and ASOS and I was sold - I got mine and I wore them whenever I had the chance to last winter! Then summer came along so they went back in the cupboard but I was very pleased to see that the trend came back with a vengeance this year - more styles, more colours, it just got bigger and better.

I decided that I wanted a flat pair that I could wear the work but after hunting around for weeks, I just couldnt find any I liked so I ended up buying them from Amazon. When they arrived, I loved them, but as I started to wear them more and more I realised they really didnt fit me very well! Of course they were comfortable and I loved that they had a cleated rubber sole but they would slide down my legs like crazy. In the end, I would only wear them with chunky trousers underneath to help keep them up and even resorted to buying bra tape to stick them to my legs. Not a good look when they slid down anyway.

Heres one of my favourite ways that I would wear them, I love the contrast between the black and blues. I wore this for lunch at Sheesh recently! Look how festive it was there over christmas!


Then, by some miracle, I came across another perfect pair* in New Look. They were also black suede look but they had pointed toes and there was structure to the leg, it had paneling so I thought it was worth a shot and ta-dah, they stayed up all by themselves, on my bare legs! Here, I paired them with my new witchy Motel dress from Ark Clothing. I can wear them with whatever I want without worrying they'll fell down.

FASHION: Boohoo Beaded Shift Dress #WeAreFamily

Anyone else notice it get majorly cold over night last week?! Winter is here, I've just spotted a Christmas jumper in the office and although I hate the cold, it does also mean that christmas is coming! I am definitely banging out the christmas jumper next week!

This year is the first year that I have had a job around Christmas time and you know what that means? My first ever work christmas party! I honestly have no idea how dressed up people get for these types of things so I am hoping to do a little series of potential outfits on my blog here in the lead up to the day!

 Starting off with this black shift dress from Boohoo. Its part of their boutique range so its a little more expensive than usual but still nothing really for a party dress at £30. Its super embellished with beads and sequins and it is a really easy shape to wear, I do love a shift dress. This would be perfect through Christmas and NYE becuase its loose so I can eat and drink as much as I want and not worry about how tight its getting!

For the wintery season I have paired it up with a pair of pointed ankle boots with a chunky heel from JustFab! I fell in love with them after I saw Laura wearing them over on her blog! And I am also pleased to say that it is finally time for me to bring out my favourite leather jacket from Superdry, its pretty heavy and I usually get really hot but with it being so cold, now is the perfect time to wear it.

FASHION: Suede Dress and Suede Boots + GIVEAWAY

Another maroon dress with a pair of black boots today - can you see something starting?! It is so strange that that description first both of my recent outfit posts but they are both totally different! The last one was very warm, comfy and daytime whereas this one is much more evening wear with a bag and jewellery!

Maroon red tones are my favourite when it starts to get cold and I am a huge fan of the shift dress. I am also always looking for an excuse to wear these boots - I will wear them to work one day - I just need to work out how I am going to do it haha but for now, I think they look great paired with the suedette dress. I added a few accessories today which is a little bit different for me. Firstly, my lovely little Kate Spade bag that Andrew got for me! It is a bit small but perfect when I know I dont need to be carrying everything around with me.

My second accessory here is my new gold bracelet. When I saw it online, I thought it was so quirky but still keeping its class which is rare. I loved it so much that the brand have offered to get me have a second one to giveaway to one of my readers here on my blog so make sure you enter the widget at the end of the post!

FASHION: #MyDUO Style

I have worked with DUO boots in the past and was super excited to work with them again on this project. Last time, they asked me to style up a pair of tall boots in two different outfits and this time I am doing the same but with a pair of ankle boots instead. I picked these pointy leather boots with snakeskin detailing to wear. They are super amazing quality (as were my last pair) and I love the pointed shape, they are my first ever pair of pointed shoes and I am loving the look. They have a very strong and sturdy sole and I loved that I could hear my footsteps as I walked to work this morning, although I probably should have broken them in before spending the whole day in them - my feet were a little sore by the end of it but hopefully now they'll be fine for next time!
Last time, I went with day and night looks but since I now have a job, I thought I'd try a smart and casual look. This first one is my smart one. I really don't know what I'm doing when it comes to looking smart. I still have my trusty black jeans on but I have paired them with a little black cami and the show stopper piece of the look - my new mint jacket which I love. It's the third and final piece that I picked up at the #VeryVIP event. It was so windy when I took these photos but I wasn't too cold so the coat does it's job as well as looking pretty.
As I said, my second look is a more casual one, although I would happily wear both of them to work.  Again I have my black jeans with my pretty new boots, this time with a cropped sweater that I picked up in Primark last week. I was impressed with the quality of this one because it was super warm and fleecy inside! It also came in green, blue and grey which I had a hard time not buying! I think I'm going to go back for the blue one!
I have just noticed that the colours of both outfits go perfectly with my blog theme! I obviously love them both together!

FASHION: Timberlands and Ripped Jeans

When I was 12, my best friend got a pair of Timberlands, they were baby blue which was totally cool at the time, not so cool now haha she always had the latest trend. I was 12, ten years ago (whoa) and Timberlands are back (not the baby blue ones thankfully), isn't it weird how fashion comes and goes and then comes back again! I think they started to get popular again after we saw Fleur Easts' sister wear them on the X Factor, since then, I see them everywhere, especially on a train on the way into London.

I didn't get my pair of Timberlands until this time round and I'm looking forward to trying all the different ways to style them. They are something completely new for me, I'm not used to a not black shoe but I've established that they look good with black jeans so hopefully it won't be too hard! I am really looking forward to wearing them through this season as I think as well as a fashion piece, they are quite practical in the winter with the cold and the snow. 

The best thing is that when they go out of fashion, I can put them at the back of my wardrobe and after a few more years they'll be back again.

FASHION: George At ASDA Wishlist

Since we moved not so long ago, Harlow became our new local town. Every time I go shopping with my mum we head straight to the huge ASDA looking for food and usually a new pair of shoes for her. I never initially go in there looking for clothes for myself but I always leave shocked at how many pieces I fell in love with, it's hard to get your head around the fact that supermarkets do such nice clothes, but they do, and they are always cheap too. When I came home I went online and fell in love with a few more things! 
I'm loving scuba trousers although at the moment I don't own a pair. These pink floral ones that I picked out came in a black and white version as well - I didn't like them as much although they had a matching blazer. I would love to find out if there is one to match this pink pair as I like this colour much more. The set of two would be perfect for office to bar as it is smart but still fun with a crop top and a pair of heels.

There are so many lovely dresses online but the one I was drawn too most happened to be old stock from Christmas I assume as it was in the sale! Just because Christmas is over it doesn't mean I have to stop wearing sequins - I am definitely one to wear them all year round either on a night out or special occasion! I like this one because it is a shift shape and a shift sequin dress is very hard to come by.

As for this piece, it will soon be time to transition from winter coats to jackets (Yey) and this pastel blue, leather look biker style one is pretty cool for spring!

This is just a basic raglan tee but a very nice basic raglan tee which will pretty much go with everything! I love this shade of grey (lol) and it's only £6.

These floral skinny jeans are so pretty. You might have noticed, I wear my black skinnies with everything so making the jeans the attention piece rather than the top will make a nice change! The floral pattern also makes them very feminine.

My mum thinks I am going a bit boot crazy, I seem to buy a new pair at every opportunity. These are super cute with a side zip and a perfect heel. I have similar pair which cost over 4 times the price so these would be great for every day while I can save my expensive ones for best!

FASHION: White Stuff At Bluewater

Last week, The lovely ladies at White Stuff invited me along to Bluewater to celebrate their new shop opening!

The shop itself was lovely - rather that just a normal shop front it was themed on a Georgian house with big white pillars and brickwork outside. The theme carried on inside with the most lovely looking staircase covered in tinsel for the festive season! 
Now on to the clothes! I could tell straight away that they were all great quality. All the jumpers were so soft and everything was very well made! I loved that they had expensive cashmere jumpers in bright pink and green haha. Plus lots of dresses, shoes and jewellery! One of the looks is called Gypsy Caravan and all the clothes were the prettiest greens, blues and purples! Upstairs they had a loungewear section which I fell in love with - Fairisle lounge pants in the thickest cosy material and a pyjama set that consisted of shorts, a vest top and a kimono!!
 At the end of my visit the girls let me pick something from the store and sent me home with a little goodie bag! I had to go back to the beginning and pick one of the snuggly jumpers! As well as loving the design, I knew that I was going to get much looaadsss of wear out of a new jumper, although I was just browsing though the site and spotted these boots which I didn't see in store and have now fallen in love with as well ahah

FASHION: Christmas Jumper From George At ASDA

I have been so excited to wear my new Christmas jumper which I picked up at the George At ASDA press day much earlier this year but I just didn't want to wear it too early haha so when I was invited to a Christmas lunch last week I knew it was the perfect occasion! I paired it with my new Barry M Majesty polish for some extra sparkles and my new boots from Clarks to keep my feet super warm. I wasnt sure about the boots* at first but the more I wear them the more I love them! My mum has just gone out and bought herself the same pair in the black friday sales!
So I was off to The Folly in Monument for my first christmassy meal of the year! I started with soup, then on to turkey and stuffing (Obvs) and a chocolate tart for dessert! There were candy canes, christmas crackers and a huge real christmas tree in the corner! We spend the whole afternoon eating our delicious meal, drinking prosecco and chatting about how we can work together in the new year!

FASHION: Day And Night With DUO Boots

I have been a fan of DUO boots for a while now after being contacted a couple of years ago about a competition they were running as I was very pleased to hear from this again recently about a new competition! The aim of the game is to style one pair of boots for the day and the same boots for the evening! Check out how I did it!

Both outfits are pretty similar in the bottom half but if you follow my blog you will know that I wear my new black jeans with absolutely everything, day or night - Shopping, clubbing, dinner?! They are also pretty similar in the face and hair but that's just me, I only ever wear eyeliner and have my hair down, Unless I get really hot in the club, then I just tie it up!

So my first outfit is pretty casual which is just how I like my day time outfit, this really is a shoppingat Lakeside and lunch at Pret kind of look! I've got a comfy little tee and my big satchel to keep all my stuff in plus the boots are super comfy so great for walking around all day.

Now I though I might have a little trouble for the evening as I normally go out in heels but I just put together a normal clubbing look for me and added the boots rather than a chunky pair of heels and they look just as good, minus the sore feet at the end of the night! I though since the whole outfit was rather black it would be a nice idea to add some of my coloured Swarovski crystal bracelets and I'm ready for my evening. I normally go bag-less and just keep my phone and cards in my pockets!
