FASHION: Suede Dress and Suede Boots + GIVEAWAY

Another maroon dress with a pair of black boots today - can you see something starting?! It is so strange that that description first both of my recent outfit posts but they are both totally different! The last one was very warm, comfy and daytime whereas this one is much more evening wear with a bag and jewellery!

Maroon red tones are my favourite when it starts to get cold and I am a huge fan of the shift dress. I am also always looking for an excuse to wear these boots - I will wear them to work one day - I just need to work out how I am going to do it haha but for now, I think they look great paired with the suedette dress. I added a few accessories today which is a little bit different for me. Firstly, my lovely little Kate Spade bag that Andrew got for me! It is a bit small but perfect when I know I dont need to be carrying everything around with me.

My second accessory here is my new gold bracelet. When I saw it online, I thought it was so quirky but still keeping its class which is rare. I am not a winter person. As well as just hating the cold because, well, its cold, it also makes all the metal in my back go really stiff and its usually quite painful so in the winter, any thoughts of dressing to look nice go out of the window in aid of keeping my back warm as warm as I can.

I can spend whole winters wearing jeans, a jumper and a pair of trainers. Now I love a big knitted jumper but it gets to a point when I get sick of wearing the same shape clothes in different colours for 5 months at a time (we are in the UK after all) so its nice when I come across a piece that I could could wear, without my back getting too cold, that I actually think looks nice as well! I picked up this jumper at the end of winter last year so I havent really had a chance to wear it yet and as for the shoes, you might be surprised to hear that these are my first pair of UGGS (I live in Essex). I wasn't a huge fan of the original long, chestnut coloured ones but I think these little black ones are really cute and a much better colour for me.

Granted, this outfit wouldn't be perfect for a day out in the elements on Oxford Street but it would be fine for a winters day at say Lakeside (the uggs would fit right in), or the cinema or the sort of things people like to do indoors when its just too cold.

I haven't done a fashion challenge for a while so when George At ASDA got in touch, I jumped at the chance! I was challenged to pick either a dress, skirt or pair of jeans and style them three different ways here on my blog.

If you know me at all from reading my blog, you will be as surprised as I was that I didn't go for a pair of jeans - but whats the fun in that? I wear my black jeans with every thing so that wouldn't really have been much for a challenge.

I decided to go with what I am least familiar with and picked this denim dress. The waist pulls in with elestic and then there is a second layer underneath. I really loved the crochet detailing.

The first style was just plain- Dress, sunglasses and shoes. This is how I would wear the dress if I was on holiday and there was no chance that it was going to get cold all of a sudden like it does here. I really loved these floral mini heels so why not make those main attraction here. They will be great for the summer because they have loads of colours on them and they are a great height to add a little bit extra to those daytime outfits.

The second style is my favourite and incorporates white into the look. It also gives me a jacket which is essential here, even when its summer haha. Its a demin jacket but I love that its white, it gives it an edge - to finish off I've added these white pumps which also have lots of crochet detailing like the dress.

My last style was to take out the white and add black in instead. Its just a lightweight knit but I have been wearing it with everything this week, such a great staple. Paired with my go-to simple black pumps and thats that.

William Hill got in touch and reminded me that Cheltenham Ladies Day is coming up on March 11th. Either last year or the year before, I made a wishlist of what I'd wear if I had the opportunity (and the money) to go so I thought I'd do the same for Cheltenham Races 2015 Ladies Day! Last time I put together a whole outfit but for this post, I'm going to pick out a few of my favourite dresses so I can make another wishlist. woo! I am really enjoying putting them together lately.

Everyone get really dressed up so it's a great opportunity to wear something really out there to stand out. For an event like this, I would always pick a longer dress as I think they look more classy as well as keeping you a little bit warmer. Most of the dresses that initially caught my eye were covered in digital prints, they are just so eye catching!

Lipsy Digital Print

This is my favourite of all the dresses. I love the material and how the print looks on top of it. The deep pinks are so pretty.

Missguided Bardot

This is a very simple dress but I just love the way bardot looks. I wish I could pull this off but I have had trouble in the past with strapless dresses and I don't think I would be totally comfortable in it.

ASOS Jewel Print

This print is a little more subtle that the first but I still love the pastel tones on it. I also like that the shapes are symmetrical.

Vesper Red Peplum

I have had my eye on this dress for a while. I love the material of all my Vesper dresses and the red is such a statement plus it has a very pretty neckline and a peplum to cover your stomach. This would probably be the most comfortable to wear.

Ted Baker Floral Skater

This is the most subtle print of the three, it's also the shortest of the five but I would still wear it to an event like this as I think it looks very classy because of its structure and material.

ohh it's starting to get a little bit chilly again and for someone who has been avoiding her skinny jeans since early June that is not a good thing! I tried to start wearing them again this week but it got so bad that I had to take them off mid dinner (in Mayfair) with Andrew and switch into leggings because they were just so uncomfortable - which he thought was hilarious! I really need to find a pair of super comfy skinnies!

Another issue I have is I absolutely hate wearing tights so if I'm going to wear a dress it's going to be bare legged. What a dilemma! This dress here helps my situation by at least keeping the top half of my body warm with its lovely long sleeves! I love how big and floaty this is and how even though its a very day time outfit, its a little bit more dressed with my cute little white heels! Perfect for a day at Lakeside I'd say!

I was recently contacted by a brand called Julia, who are launching exclusively at Clothing at Tesco. Since I love F&F so much, I knew I was going to love Julia too and I was right, there are a few dresses that really caught my eye! Lots of lovely floaty summer dresses which would be perfect for a family BBQ or a picnic at hype park but they now also have a lot more darker colours and prints avalible for the autumn which would be lovely for family meals and evenings at the pub.

I picked this pretty blue, floral, chiffon overlay one which comes with a white slip which was very helpful. It has great length, floaty cap sleeves and a little tie over the elasticated waist. Its just such a pretty piece and looks great with my white heels which I wear to death plus its super comfy!

A few weeks ago, New Look contacted me to find out about my favourite dress, one that I would never, ever though away. In fact, I actually love this dress so much that I have three identical ones plus a white version because I was so worried about if something happened to it and I wouldn't be able to wear it anymore. I realise that sounds a bit crazy but I just over think things haha what if the washing machine ripped it up or it went off to the ironing and never came back? I'd be devastated, I love it that much! I just love the bright colours and the geometric cut out shape. It also fits me really well and since I have one good hip and one bad, it really accentuates that shape of my curvy one haha. It's a great length for me and with such a big cut out, it means that I don't get overheated like I usually do with a dress in a club!

and as its with New Look they have asked me which one of their dresses fits the criteria to be my new throwback dress! I'm actually loving this dress from New Look. The print is so cute and so summery, I'd be happy to wear it all summer, then throw it to the back of my wardrobe for the winter and get it back out again next year!

Last Sunday I was just getting into bed when I got a call from my friend saying do I want to go clubbing. I had less than half an hour to get ready, which isn't too bad for me really, I take forever to put together an outfit but once I've chosen it really doesn't take long to put it on, do my eye liner and leave haha

Luckily for me, this amazing dress had arrived that morning and it was the perfect outfit ready to go. I'm not normally a big fan of wearing dresses to go clubbing but what I loved about this one was that it looks like a cute little co-ord and its a pretty summer colour too. I hardly ever go clubbing in Essex and I know that it's a lot more dressed up than me in my shorts, crop and converse on the tube into cheapskates hahah so this was the perfect excuse to wear it out! Looking back at these photos which I took the next afternoon I think I probably could have done with sizing down to a 6 as it was just a little bit too big but its not a problem, I still love it!

For once my nails actually coordinated nicely with the rest of my outfit, they even had a little gem on them which helped with the whole Essex vibe haha

How beautiful is this dress?

I originally picked it to wear for my internship but it's too nice for work, although I'm sure it would make a lovely work to garden party/posh BBQ look haha I have fallen in love with it. It's so not me,I've been saying that here on my blog alot lately, I'm not really a dress person altogether but apparently that is changing rather rapidly!

The pattern on this dress makes me so happy - when I look at it all I can think is Summer. I think it will probably be coming on holiday with me this year to for those lovely evening beach walks and sunset meals!

I didn't realise how much I loved this outfit until I just looked at the photos, I think it helped that I was having a bit of a good hair day too haha but still, it is a cute outfit!

I think that blue is one of the colours that suits me best, it always has, whether its a deep royal blue or a light, pastel shade. It changes though the year as my hair gets lighter and darker between dyes and for this tone of hair, I think the pastel blue goes perfectly!

The sandals are super comfy and they give me a little extra height so they are great all round - plus white makes a huge change for me which I am totally in to at the moment. I have so many shoes from SpyLoveBuy, but they always impress, I can never find a bad word to say about them!

This week, Andrew and I confirmed our summer holiday, we're going to Thailand and this outfit will definitely be coming with me! I'm so excited

I haven't entered a blogger competition for ages so when this one came I thought why not?! Its a great prize after all! To enter, I was asked to style an outfit of what I would wear to Cheltenham Ladies Day and if I win, I get 2 tickets to go!

I picked this lovely dress from Motel. I know it's not overly dressed up but I just think it is so pretty. Ladies day is on March 13th so it's getting towards spring and I just want to wear something bright and summery all the time. It's super comfortable and floaty and the print is pretty beautiful! I love it!

As for the shoes, I thought a chunky heel was a great idea - more stability and more comfort and great for walking on grass! I threw on my new go-to bracelets. One square studded bangle and 2 pretty pink stretch ones to add a little bit of sparkle and now all I need is a big headpiece and I'd be ready to go! I think a pretty flower crown would finish it off perfectly!

Hi Guys

Todays post is another smart outfit I put together for work before I learnt about the smart casual thing. It's the first time I've worn this dress and I think it is a really good thing to have in my wardrobe. As well as looking very smart I think it is quite stylish as well. I will always love monochrome, but not just subtle monochrome like a little ditsy print, I love big statement monochrome where you can see the contrast between the black and white. I also really love the shape of this dress, it's a very loose shift shape and for going out, this really isnt me, but for work or somthing posh it's great and makes a nice change for me.

I am totally not an accessorie person but when I wear black and white, I like to add in one thing in a bright colour, be it shoes, a bag or in this case and neckalce which I havent worn since my year 11 prom. I finished off the outfit with my favourite pair of shoes, but I'm going to have to stop wearing them soon because it's not summer anymore, waa

On thursday evening, I was lucky enough to be invited down to Spitalfields for a blogger event held in the Jones and Jones store. I've walked past there many times and always pop in to see whats new and I have to say, I always love whats in there. If you read my blog regularly you will know that Jones and Jones we one of my favourite brands, in fact I bought a new dress from them for absolutley no reason last week.

This was one really lovely event, it was so fun becuase the sun was shining and the shop was still open to the public so it was all hussely and bustley and you could get to see all the cutsomers choosing out dresses. The Jones and Jones girls were great and put a lovely spread of champagne with strawberrys, nibbely snacks and amzing scones which were all handmade by All Scone.

I spent the evening with my lovely blogger friend Millie from sheheartsthehighstreet (all of the good photos are hers as I didnt realise I was going until last minute and didnt have my camera on me) we picked out all of our favourite dresses and spent forever trying on each one and taking lots of photos as we both ratteled it down to 2 dresses. Both of us were torn between two dreses and I thinkthe whole store knew about it! I ended up getting a green version of the dress I got last week, because I love the shape of it so much, so why not get a summer colour as well as a winter one?!
