The Orphans Arms

Monday, 17 December 2012

If you follow my blog you may recognise Robin from a few of my life posts. He always wears really intersting t-shirts, the kind that everyone wants but have no idea where they came from.

He introduced us to one of his most interesting brands a while ago -  The Orphans Arms.

It seems like I've know about the brand for a few years now, although creaters Joshua Wilks & Jay Shipley founded The Orphan's Arms in the early summer of 2010 - I must have known about them from nearly the beginning.

Their whole thing is very english heitage, culture and historical events. Everything is hand printed, and  hand made in England. Its nice to know my tee wans't just made by a machine but actually had alot of effort put into it and literally made about an hour away from where I live - East London!

This top just makes me feel cool, I love the raw edges, turned-up sleeves and all the different shades of grey running though the material.

One of my new favourite brands for sure!

Christsmas Tee

Sunday, 16 December 2012

I know my spelling isn't always perfect but the title is meant to say christmas tee and not christmas tree. hahah

Moving on. I've never owned a chirstmas jumper before, sad I know. I would like one but somtimes they just look so itchy and uncomfotable and I'm not sure I'd wear it outside the house in which case it might just be a waste of money. What I do like about them is the cute designs they embodie. very festive with cute little aminals, snowflakes and snowmen, holly leaves and that zig zaggy diamond pattern.

So this t-shirt fixes my problem! I can still wear a cute chirstmas design but I'm not itchy and I would be happy to leave the house in it - I can actually see myself wearing this alot over chirstmas, and it comes in pretty pastel colours - pink, purple, violet. I love that its a step away from the traditional colours but still obviously very festive! Jolly Good i say!

Motel Rocks Takeover Part 2

Saturday, 15 December 2012

I've always been a huge fan of crops but now that its winter, I have to find a new way of working them, basically I need long sleeve ones, which I didnt have until last week! This sample sale had everything! I picked up a couple of really pretty ones. I really love this outfit! Its very much my kinda thing at the moment
Velvet Pants - Motel Rocks
Glitter Wedges  - Primark

I don't think Andrew thought it was worth telling me about the tissue when he took these photos.

Now, becuase it's so cold I need somthing to keep my stomach warm when I wear a crop - I've started with these high waisted velvet disco pants, which I bought from the Motel Rocks website. They are super tight and velvet, everything I could want from a pair or trousers. Im starting to obcess with the disco pant shape tho and have come across a store called Daisy Street - have a great range of colours so Id love to get some from them! Just cant decide what colour they are all so pretty.

My Motel Rocks Haul Part 1

Friday, 14 December 2012

As the title suggests, this is the first outfit post featuring one of the things I bought at the sample sale. This peplum top was the first thing that caught my eye one my first day working there, the pattern is beautiful and I've always been an monochrome fan! The cut is lovley and has the flattering sweetheart neckline that also features in alot of Motels crop tops and dresses, I own alot of these necklines!

The shoes I ordered last week from Ego&Greed at ASOS which were £18 down from £60, total bargain I thought, but I'm finding it a tad hard to walk in them, they aren't as steady as you'd think, anyway im not sure weather to keep them or not,

What are you guys thinking?

My Jeans? Typical Primark, I love it there for jeans - they are only £8 - although this does have it's disadvantages. Firstly it means I buy hundreds of pairs to the things and second? Just before this photo was taken I pulled them up and they ripped?! I was shocked, from the hundreds of items I've ever bough from Primark, this was a first! Dont worry, it's not going to stop me, I will always love Primark!!

Keep an eye out for the rest of my Motel Rocks goodies!

Here it is! This Blogger Competition is being held by New Look to put togehter a christmas party look. I ve chosen a sparkely green dress, because we all know christmas is the best time for sequins! Its a very simple shape dress so its really easy to wear and not too over the top. I acessorised with with leather, leather, leather! A lovley biker jacket to keep me warm but still looking stylish and faux leather boots with gold chains. Gold and green go perfectly! Finished off with a black bag and some green eyeshadow.
