FASHION: #MotelRocksTheParty

Thursday, 27 November 2014

Last week I was lucky enough to go along to the Motel Rocks party which was held at the Far Rockaway in Shoreditch! There were rails and rails of new Motel clothes which were amazing as usual, lots of sparkles, satins and lurex, lots of textures and pretty shapes as well! After a look through them all we spent the night getting our nails done and our tarot cards read, eating sweets and  yummy pizza and drinking lots and lots of champagne provided my Friexinet which would explain my lack of good photos! So here's a few snapshots from my night!

Huge thanks to Motel for having me!

FASHION: Havaianas #SambaInTheRain

Friday, 21 November 2014

Everyone knows Havaianas for their flip flops and the summer but did you know that they did wellies as well? Perfect for this time of year especially for me as I was the one who had to take Molly for a walk this morning since everyone else was out. We walk Molly in the field next door which is now just mud so obviously it was the perfect time to get my new Wellies out! I am so lazy - I just threw them on, with my Onepiece onesie and a coat haha.
They are running a new campaign to get people out enjoying the winter instead of staying in! Basically you upload a photo on Instagram of you embracing winter in the most Havaianas way tagging #sambaintherain for a chance to win a pair of Havaianas rain boots for yourself!

FASHION: New Look Style

Thursday, 20 November 2014

This post has seriously been a long time coming but it was such bad timing and I have taken forever which is unusual for me! I got sent it the week I had a cold, then the next week Andrew caught it so he couldn't take my photos and then he was ill for nearly a month so I've decided to show the clothes without us in them this time although I am going to try to get some proper photos when everything is back to normal!

I picked out these blue jeans which is a first for me, I wear jeans so often but they are always black so when I thought I might try to push myself with a blue pair from New Look! They are a lovely shade and are acid washed. They are super stretchy and comfy and I love them! Finally a pair of blue jeans that I like! I also picked out this maroon peplum (Similar Here) top as they are so easy to put on and look great in - I love peplum shapes. Then when I saw the burger clutch, I couldn't resist - They now have loads of them in all sorts of foods like milkshakes (£12.99) and doughnuts (£12.99). This is a perfect kind of date night look for me and the peplum means I could eat a salad if I liked or I could eat a cheese burger and knowone would know any different - Its a great shape for hiding bloating!

And they also asked me to pick something for Andrew which was lovely! I didn't even know that New Look had a menswear section?! I loved the simple print on this plain white tee (Only £9.99) and I picked a pair of grey chinos (£19.99) to wear it with!

LIFESTYLE: Break Up Songs With Music Magpie

Wednesday, 19 November 2014

Music Magpie sent me this info graphic I thought it was super interesting! Although I have been with Andrew for 5 years now, I have seen alot of  friends relationships end and I know when I'm upset the first thing I do is grab my ipod, turn up the most emo thing I can find and get into bed so I'm going to match a song with each stage!

I hope I don't depress you guys with this but all the music is genuinely what I love listening to on a day to day basis and I had so much fun going through it all and picking the right ones!

Shock - One Last Kiss - Madina Lake
"She walked away and I could hardly breathe, I turned around and fell down to my knees" Poor Guy - I used to have a little crush on him haha

Denial - Blink 182 - Down
"This cant be the end"  Blink are my No#1 favourite band ever and I really wanted to include them here but it was hard work - most of their songs are happy and stupid.

Isolation - Bullet For My Valentine - All These Things I Hate
"Run away try to find that safe place you can hide, It's the best place to be when you're feeling like, me" one of my first favourites when I got into heavier music!

Bargaining - Somewhere In Between - Hawthorne Heights
"I need you more right now than I ever did" Hawthorne Heights <3 <3

Depressed - So Sick
I have loved this song like crazy forever. its a little guilty pleasure of mine!

Acceptance - Bowling For Soup - Emily
"I sure am glad that you didn't want me anymore"
I loved BFS when I was younger and then so did my dad so our whole family listen to them in the car haha.

Moving on - Ain it fun - Paramore
With lines like "Ain't it fun living in the real world, Ain't it good being all alone" I love Paramore.

What Are Your Favourite Break Up Songs?

LIFESTYLE: Share A Smile

Tuesday, 18 November 2014

A couple weeks ago, Oasis Dental Care contacted me about their Share A Smile campaign - The idea is to get everyone thinking about others and making them smile, which is a lovely idea! They gave me some money and left it up to me to make someone smile anyway I fancied - and of course I knew exactly who I would like to do something nice for, I just had to think of something!

Andrew is my boyfriend of 5 years (As I'm sure you all know by now) and he is the best! He treats me so well and is always looking for places to go out and lovely things for us to do together and all sorts of little treats! So I wanted to treat him to something nice. I know he has been after a new pair of smart shoes for a while, his last pair are all old and battered and he never spends any money on himself so it was a perfect opportunity for me to get them as a surprise for him.

Thankfully, he loves them and it looks like Molly did too haha now I just need to plan a nice night for us that he can wear them for!

Huge thanks for Oasis Dental Care for the opportunity to treat someone I love!

LIFESTYLE: Luxury Hot Chocolate From Whittard

Sunday, 16 November 2014

I start to use lots of products when it gets cold that I dont really think about when its not - Like bath bombs from Lush, I used their shower gels all summer but wait until it gets cold before I start having a long relaxing soak. Its the same with this next product - I wouldn't think of drinking hot chocolate though the summer but as soon as it get cold its all I want!

I was sent this lovely luxury hamper of products from Whittard a few weeks ago! I received three different hot chocolate powders, one plain, one orange and one chili (Excited to try that one!) plus a huge tub of marshmallows (which as well as on my hot chocolate I have been munching though in from of the TV oops) plus two boxes of yummy treats to eat with my drinks - Dark Chocolate Salted Caramels and Milk Chocolate Caramel Coated Marshmallows which were amazing. As well as all tasting great, what I really loved about them was the packaging of each product, it is very muted and classic looking! This makes them perfect as christmas gifts!

Al I needed really was a can of whipped cream which I will be going out to get next week mmm. Since I didnt have any I just topped it off with the amazing little sugar coated, pastel marshmallows, which are the perfect size for hot chocolate, they all just melted into a layer of marshmallowy goodness and once I'd eaten that, I put more on and started again haha.

If your a hot chocolate lover then Whittard is the place for with so many different flavored hot chocolates, next on my list is the caramel and white hot chocolates.

LIFESTYLE: Five Guys, Harlow

Thursday, 13 November 2014

I was super excited when I heard a new Five Guys was opening up in my little local shopping town, every time my mum and I walked past the sign we would chat about the photos I'd seen on instagram (You guys like this place, and now I know why) and that Andrew had been and told me all about it and since neither of us had tried it before we agreed to go as soon as it opened! So what a lovely surprise I got an email from them asking if I would like to go and review the brand new store?! Of course I brought my mum come along to try it out!

I thought it was a sit down restaurant but you go up to the counter and order the same as you would for a normal fast food burger - but I kid you not - this is not a normal English fast food burger. We were very confused but the lovely staff talked us though the process - we wanted burgers, (they do hot dogs and sandwiches as well) so first you pick if you want a plain, cheese, bacon or bacon and cheese, then if you want one patty or two (we went for two each, obvs) then there are so many different topping and sauces that you order at the till. We ordered a small chips each which neither of us ended up finishing - they were huge, you get so many in one portion! Next up my mum asked for a diet coke and I went for a bottle of water. The woman looked at us like we were crazy and asked if we knew about the coke machine, she gave us what we asked for plus some extra cups and told us we haaave to try it!

She was right haha its the coolest thing I have ever seen! I never drink fizzy drinks which is why I ordered a water in the first place but this machine is my new favourite thing haha. You pick, say a coke, fine, click on the touch screen, then the next screen asks if you want raspberry, vanilla, orange, cherry the options go on and on! I opted for a strawberry sprite which was so good and pink. I had to go back and try a different one so I went for a grape fanta the second time round, doesnt grape soda just sounds so American?!

We took out food and exciting new drinks upstairs and emptied it all out on to a serviette, opened up the huge foil wrapped burgers and got started! The buns were super yummy, soft and seeded and the two thick, juicy patties inside were dripping with melted cheese. I added grilled onions, tomatoes, lettuce and ketchup to mine and it was such a good burger and the chips were just as good with their skin on, mmm.

We will 100% be going back to our new local Five Guys whenever we can and ordering the exact same thing - We loved it!

FASHION: Knitwear Wants

Ok so now its really getting cold and its a time of year that I find reaally hard to dress for. Basically I dont care what it looks like as long as I'm warm and usually that means thick knitted jumpers. LIFESTYLE: Lush Sparkler Bath Bomb

Tuesday, 11 November 2014

Since its getting so cold now, I love to have a nice hot bath at Andrews whenever I get the chance! Last weekend I took my Sparkler Bath Bomb over to use.  Good timing since there were fireworks going off all night!

The bath bomb itself if a long, yellow, log shape and at first I wasn't too excited about this one as it looked a bit plain on the outfits but since mine was broken in half I could see the secret golden line running though the middle which was very exciting!

As I dropped in into the bath the golden glitter started shooting out of each end pushing it each half spinning around the bath. It smelt very similar to the Rose Jam shower gel and starts off very yellow and orange and quite creamy but once you mix it together you get a golden bath with lots of glitter which I loved!

Have You Used Lush's Sparkler?
