BEAUTY: Intergalactica, Lush Oxford Circus Special Edition

Tuesday, 2 June 2015

Lush has fast become one of my favourite brands so I am pretty pleased to be able to say that the Oxford Street Store is my local becuase its their new flagship and it has loads of exclusive products! I  have to walk past there every morning on my way to work and I usually spend my friday afternoons in there too waiting for Andrew to come and meet me.
Last week I decided it was time for me to try my first of the exclusive bath bombs. Lush staff are known for being friendly but the staff in that store are so amazing - they just love to chat. I was standing talking to one girl for another 10 minutes after she had already helped a very indecisive me pick what I wanted.
I decided on Intergalactica. It doesn't really look any difference to an ordinary bath bomb from Lush but Intergalactica turned out to be my favourite bath bomb ever.

Firstly it smells amazing and that was the reason I bought it in the first place. It's minty, very similar smelling to mouthwash but not in a bad way. It was one of those smells that you breath in deep to help open your airways. It was super refeshing.

Another thing I loved about it was the way it fizzed. Firstly, it was much fizzier that any of the ones I've used in the past - it started off going crazy from one side of the bath to the next but when it started to calm down, it fizzed in a spiral, I like to think that was all part of the galaxy theme but I'm not sure if that was intentional.
The last part that secured it as my favourite was the colour the water turned when all the fizzing was finished. It was the deepest aqua blue with tonnes of glitter. I couldn't decide if I was happy with the space theme or it was more like being a mermaid princess in the blue lagoon - either way I really enjoyed it and will definitely be purchasing another one soon.

BEAUTY: Lush Easter Range 2015

Friday, 27 March 2015

It seems like Lush only just brought out there mothers day range and now there's another new one! This so far, is probably my favourite range regarding smells and its pretty cute too! I have been eying up the hoppity poppity bath bomb (because its so cute and it has a face) and the Fluffy egg (because apparently it smells like snow fairy) but here's what I have so far!

A Bunch of Carrots
These come as a super cute set of three little carrots. They are pretty citrusy and refreshing like their bright orange colour, I love how  cute and fun they are. They are bubble bars which means you usually get quite a few uses out of them - with there being three in this set, they are super value for money.
Pot o Gold
This is the first ever shower gelly I've ever come across and I think it is one of my favourite Lush smells ever! It super sweet like honey or caramel. You use it similarly to a bar of soap and it's a pretty different feel to anything I've ever used in the shower before, kind of like a jelly that you would eat but much sturdier and the most amazing gold colour (as the name suggests).
Golden Egg
Another super cute one, especially for someone like me who has a bit of an obsession with easter eggs - it's covered in glitter like alot of the christmas collection and smells similar to the pot of gold with its sweet caramel smell. Its the actual size of an egg which I wasn't expecting and its called a bath bomb melt so it fizzes up a little bit but leaves your water feeling soft and silky.

LUSH: Shoot For The Stars Bath Bomb

Tuesday, 3 February 2015

Just before Christmas, I was tasked with buying the perfect gift for my brothers friend that he could pretend he bought. Lucky me haha. Of course my first choice for a girl that I didn't know had to be Lush, everyone loves a pretty bath! I was given a budget (LOL) so I bought a sparkly box and filled it with Lush Products. Apparently I got too much for my money so he let me keep a couple for myself and this Shoot for the stars bath ballistic was one of them!

I initially picked up Shoot For The Stars because it's so pretty to look at as it is! When I dropped it into my bath I loved that it spun a layer of silver glitter as I didn't expect this one to sparkle when I bought it, apparently this is a change from last years one which has a yellow star rather than a white sparkly one! It was quite a slow fizzer but I also liked how when it was fizzing, it was blues, pinks and yellows but once it was finished I had a sparkly, deep purple bath. It definitely looks like a nights sky while it's fizzing away getting darker and darker the more its fizzes.

It seems that this was a limited edition Christmas one which I didn't realise. It came out last year and the year before so I hope it will be out this year too so I can buy another one as I really enjoyed it!

LUSH: Northern Lights Bath Ballistic

Tuesday, 30 December 2014

I have been wanting to try out Northern Lights from Lush for a few weeks now! As with my sparkler ballistic from Lush, at first I wasn't really interested - I think the shape made me think it wouldn't be great as it wasn't a classic bath ballistic shape but with both of them I have been wrong and they are now both two of my favourites - Never judge a book by its cover eh?

It was only after I used the Sparkler that I decided that I wanted to try this one but it was so hard to get hold! I couldnt find it anywhere in London, it was only when I wondered into Lush with andrew while we were in Brighton that I spotted one! Great timing since we were having a relaxing weekend away!

As I dropped it in, I could smell the super relaxing jasmine and ylang ylang scent! It started foaming lovely pastel colours which got darker and darker - bright purple with blue and yellow shooting out of each end! I didn't see any stars or the popping candy like the description says but the colours were pretty impressive and thats what I wanted, it also took forever to finish fizzing which I like as I love watching them. I'm definitely looking forward to using another one of these!

A magical bath bomb named after a magical thing! I would love to see the northern lights for real one day!

LIFESTYLE: Lush Sparkler Bath Bomb

Tuesday, 11 November 2014

Since its getting so cold now, I love to have a nice hot bath at Andrews whenever I get the chance! Last weekend I took my Sparkler Bath Bomb over to use.  Good timing since there were fireworks going off all night!

The bath bomb itself if a long, yellow, log shape and at first I wasn't too excited about this one as it looked a bit plain on the outfits but since mine was broken in half I could see the secret golden line running though the middle which was very exciting!

As I dropped in into the bath the golden glitter started shooting out of each end pushing it each half spinning around the bath. It smelt very similar to the Rose Jam shower gel and starts off very yellow and orange and quite creamy but once you mix it together you get a golden bath with lots of glitter which I loved!
