A day trip to Cambridge

Thursday, 21 July 2022

In an attempt to get out of London for the day, the girls and I jumped on a train headed to Cambridge.

It was extremely hot so we didn't manage a whole lot but it was such a fun day, I wanted to share the photos.

We hired a student to punt us around for an hour and share all his Cambridge knowledge. We quite liked little Henry by the time it'd finished, he was very entertaining!

After that, we grabbed some take away drinks and found a shady spot by the river to drink them.

There was just enough time for a little bit of shopping and rather a large ice cream before the heat got the better of us and we decided it was time to head home!

A wonderfully wholesome day.

A Girls Trip to Menorca

Wednesday, 22 June 2022

As a travel blogger there were two trains of thought regarding my recent trip to Menorca. Firstly, I wanted to write about it - that's what I enjoy doing and what this website is for; but then it hit me that there wasn't a whole lot to write about. I wasn't on this trip as a blogger, I was on holiday with my friends.

So I wont be recommending the best things to do in Menorca (you can read about that from the last time I went), because we spent most of our time getting drunk and taking selfies but regardless of that, I'm going to share the photos because, well, because we had an awesome time!

LIFESTYLE: My Love For Bingo

Monday, 12 January 2015

Two Big Ladies got in touch with me this week to ask what I think about Bingo. I'd say alot of people my age wouldn't have an opinion and just assume it's for older people but see this photo below? That's me and Andrew and all the rest of our friends at our local bingo on my 19th birthday - before we moved on down the road to Faces of course haha that's how much we love bingo.

Also, that's a major throwback photo, almost two and a half years ago although we really dont look that different haha the only thing I can see from me here is that I'm tanned, I guess that's usually a given with an August birthday. Andrew just has longer hair and his fluorescent green watch that I bought him was still alive!
What do we love about it? Well, I know exactly what I love about it, I know this sounds quite strange but the adrenalin rush when it starts, it all goes so fast and if you miss a number it makes everything 100x harder! Especially when we first started going, working out how the numbers were ordered (which is quite confusing before someone explains it to you, we had to work it out for ourselves) and being able to keep up with all the old ladies, I think I broke into a little sweat the first time!

Another very exciting aspect is the opportunity to win actual, real money - although between probably the seven of use and the many times we've been, we have only ever won about £15. Still, it's not about the money as much for us, it's just a fun night out with friends. It's easy to get to and back, and when we go on a Thursday night, it's free! Plus going with the boys all adds to the experience, they get really into it and sometimes they get a bit too loud and we all get told off haha.

Do You Love Bingo?

LIFESTYLE: Bloggers Trip To Brighton

Monday, 7 July 2014

On Friday I was invited down to Brighton along with some other bloggers to meet up with one of the companies I work very closely with - Propellernet!! I got there two hours early, as usual, but it was fine this time as it gave me a nice bit of time to have a wander around on my own, I even found a Boost juice bar so I was sorted for a little while, they are my favourite things ever! After a look around the shops, I took a leisurely walk along the sea front and soon arrived at the Hotel Du Vin, (still early) I took this time to chat to the girls about my trip the Thailand over some prosecco! They gave me loads of great advice!!

As the other bloggers started arriving, we all sat down around the huge table for a lovely lunch, they had put on a great spread and kept all of our glasses topped up whilst we got into a huge discussion about what we predict for blogging, 2015 trends and all those things that bloggers hate like silly emails starting "Dear Blogger..." It was very interesting and I learnt alot about how everyone else works which I really appreciated!!

After that we were sent out to explore Brighton on a treasure hunt. I paired up with Laura (She was on the #ActiveHen weekend with me) and luckily for me, she's from Brighton and got us to each location without even looking a the map, she was greaatt!! Brighton is actually the loveliest little place and we were so lucky with the weather, I had the best time just wandering though the lanes. The treasure hunt was super exiting too - getting to the next shop and seeing what they had for us!! We ended up with a super cute little cupcake from Brighton's answer to the hummingbird bakery, a vintage leather clutch from Beyond Retro, a bag of goodies from the local salon, a box of sweets from Cyber candy, some fro yo (perfect for the weather) and a few other bits and pieces!!

After all that work we met up with everyone at Dirty Blondes for an evening of champagne and cocktails! I had loads of fun and cant wait to now get back to Brighton with Andrew! After that, I headed back to London and met my friends in Shoreditch for a bar crawl, it was a crazy day but I had the best time haha!

LIFESTYLE: #FishFingerParty With Birdseye & Funkin Cocktails

Monday, 23 June 2014

The other day I received a huge box from the lovely guys at Birdseye and Funkin Cocktails! The aim of the game was to invite some friends round and have a fish finger and cocktail party so that's what I did!

It was super hot yesterday here in Essex so the perfect day to have an afternoon in the garden. Andrew drove the boys over and while they started setting up in the garden - putting up the posters, blowing up the balloons (which swiftly flew into next doors garden and popped) and getting to work with the Southern Comfort and Funkin cocktails, Andrew and I put the fish fingers in the oven

Fifteen minutes later, we brought them out to the garden along with the bread, butter and ketchup and everyone got stuck in to making their #FishFingerSandwiches! The strawberry daiquiris went down rather well as did the Brazilian cocktail mix, very excotic - and between the 6 of us, we made it through 40 fish fingers haha!

Big thanks to the guys at Come Round for supplying us for the day!!
