FASHION: The Perfect Off The Shoulder Top

Monday, 29 June 2015

I bought this top last Sunday while I was out shopping with my mum and brother. We had gone out to get him a suit for his prom and I wasn't really looking to buy anything but when I spotted this top, I couldn't leave New Look without it.

This sort of style is so popular at the moment and I have been looking for the perfect one but they are all so different so it has been hard. Now that I have found the perfect white one, I want a similar top in black - possibly the same one haha - plus I want both black and white in dress versions too!

Here I have styled it up perfectly for England - it's a summery top but I've paired it with jeans so I wont get too chilly. This sort out outfit would be perfect for drinks outside somewhere pretty or even shopping because these Ruby Shoo heels* are one of the most comfy pairs of heels I own. I am looking forward to styling it a bit more summery though - I have lots of ideas for this top!

It was also a great chance to give my new Ray Bans* from Amazon.co.uk a whirl and I have fallen in love with them. I think they are my favorite pair so far - I just love how bold the wayfarer shape is.

Tenerife At Christmas

Sunday, 21 December 2014

When my parents decided we are going away over christmas I wasnt sure if I was happy or sad about it! Obviously I am very excited to go on holiday so I'm just going to focus on that and make the most of  the Christmas cheer whilst we're still in the UK. Packing for a summer holiday whilst its snowing outside is a bit of a strange experenice although it does make me excited for some warmth! I thought I'd put together a post with some of my poolside essentials!
This pretty new bikini was sent to me for my holiday by the lovely people at South Beach when I couldn't make their event last month! I have been loving white bikinis for a few years now and this one makes a change with its lovely crochet details. I also love the little gold star beads at the end of the ties! To go with my white swimwear, I'm going with silver nails that way I can look a bit put together but still secretly wear my christmas sparkly. This one is from OPI.

Next up are my Ray Bans. I have always wanted a pair and debated on whether to get them year after year! In the end I finsihed up with two pairs! Both these and my wayfarers are brown because the black is just a little too dark for my colouring. I only take one pair away at a time because I dont actually wear them too often (due to not being able to see) so this time I've picked the Aviators.

and lastly, entertaiment! I only ever read magazines whilst I'm on holiday so I'll be picking up a few more at the airport to finish whilst I'm sunbathing. And for when I'm done with those, out comes the trusty Ipod nano!

Most of my Christmas was spent around the pool but if I were to go back to Tenerife however, I would love to spend more of my time there exploring. I have since learnt that the Canary Islands are know to have some of the most varied landscapes in the world and as I've grown up, I am much more into seeing what a place has to offer! I'd love to get out of the hotel and eat some local food or join a walking tour and see the volcanic trails.

Tenerife has so much more to offer than the inside of its holiday resorts!

LIFESTYLE: Holiday Essentials - Travel

Monday, 19 May 2014

So its getting closer and closer and soon Andrew and I will be starting to pack for our holiday! Last night I was laying in bed thinking about all the things I need to pack and what I will be needing on a day to day basis when I'm actually out exploring in the day. Here's my first thoughts and what I came up with, I'm sure I will be thinking of new things to add every day haha
 The Bag

I know for sure that my Zatches Satchel* will be my big bag that comes with me in the day as there will be allot of things that I will want to keep on me! It's big, strong and sturdy as well as having very secure fastenings which is something I imagine I might need in Bangkok. Its been made out of a high quality holographic leather and has a long across body strap so I don't have to think about holding it! I think it's super cute and I cant wait to use it every day!

 Cameras and Technology

First things first, my phone comes everywhere with me, I would just be totally lost without and it is the only one that I really do need, the rest are all just nice extras or back up haha. I will be using it for wifi on the go as hopefully I will be able to find some in cafes or just on the street. I will also be mainly using it for photos as I love being about to upload them straight from there and to be honest, the quality is about the same as the digital camera which I'm just bringing along as a back up! My phone case of choice this time is my new personalised one from Mr Nutcase*! I picked four of my favourite photos of Andrew and I!

This one I wasn't too sure about, do I want to take a tablet? Probably not my Ipad, maybe my HP tablet, or maybe neither? There is no urgency for me to bring either as I used them both just the same as my phone, but it would be nice to have a bigger screen for when we're in the hotel room or relaxing by the pool or beach, what do you guys think? One thing I do know is that if  either of them come on holiday with me, they will be staying in my new very padded FYT&Co. tablet case* to keep them safe.

My little green Ipod will be a must for the very long plane journey and lazing by the beach! I seem to be the only person who still has an iPod but I love it! All of it's music is over 5 years old and I cant update it as my old laptop with all the music is gone so that's how it will stay! I may also bring along my cheap new mp3 player so I can listen to some new music as well haha

and the most exciting thing for me is definitely my new baby blue Polaroid camera*! I have had it for a while but haven't set it up yet and am trying to save the film for Thailand as its quite expensive I have been collecting film wherever I can (Amazing vouchers, Jessop's, Ebay) in the lead up so I have loads for the whole holiday, I want to make a cute little album at the end.
Sunglasses
I'm going to need sunglasses so my lovely new Ray Bans* will be coming along with me, I normally wear aviators every day when I'm away but sometimes fancy a change so I will be taking the round ones too which I got from Next!

Theres also spare contact lenses and a purse!

Can You Think Of Anything Else That I Will Need?

FASHION: Motel Rocks, ASOS, Ray Bans and Crocs Boat Shoes

Friday, 16 May 2014

Crocs? You read it right, in this outfit, I am in fact wearing a pair of Crocs, although you wouldn't recognise them for the huge rounds mules they were released in 2002. I had a silver pair with flower accessories pushed into the little holes and even at the time I didn't like wearing them haha they were a savour though out my spine op though, so so comfy, definitely not going to slip on the hospital floor and so easy to slip on when it was already taking 15 minutes to get to the toilet haha.

After my operation, I never really saw or heard of Crocs again, they were gone.. or so I thought haha. The next time I saw them was when they opened a shop at Westfield Stratford, I spend so much time there I wouldn't have missed a new shop opening! It was full of all sorts of shoes, crocs are no longer a big clumpy mule but they do cute little sandals, boots, even heels and of course, the boat shoes featured in today's post, which are just as comfy, non slips and easy to wear as the originals! These will be great for a day at the beach or a water park but this time, this time I just wore them for lunch with Andrew.

What Do You Guys Think? Opinions Changed?

Crop - ASOS
Trousers - Motel Rocks
