FASHION: Completely Converse

Friday, 15 April 2016

Ooh how exciting, it just so happens that I'm wearing this top for work today, what a coincidence! I'm wearing it today, with black jeans and my black and white converse though because obvious, its raining.

Along with the top (and the tracksuit bottoms below), I actually also ordered my first ever pair of leather converse trainers - but they are bright white and didnt go too well with the rest of my outfit so I swapped them out for one of my many other pairs of converse! They are seriously going to be perfect for summer though, I loved wearing my white canvas ones last year but the leather ones just have that luxe look about them.

I currently have seven pairs of converse on the go in all sorts of colours. I have been known to have three pairs of the classic black and white low tops at the same time as well! I think I've mentioned it before but I would say they are my most worn style of shoe (RE: first paragraph) and I never want to be with out a pair so thats why I keep three! One's usually covered in mud from when I ignored my dad telling my that the place we walk Molly has turned into a swamp, another pair for everything else, work, shopping, traveling - all sorts and a last pair brand new in the box ready for when they are needed! They are perfect for day to day whatever the weather.

This outfit is weekend me all over! With Andrew and I, unless we are going somewhere posh, it's all about comfort at the weekend and this outfit is major - perfect for our morning tescos run for smoothie ingredients and flowers, maybe a walk around the park, lunch at a cute little countryside cafe and more recently, a few trips to the travel agent whilst we try to decide on holidays for the year!

LIFESTYLE: Glasses Direct

Monday, 22 June 2015

When  I was 11, I had to start wearing glasses. I picked out the most hardly there looking ones with very thin silver frames so that it wasn't something you noticed about me. My mum let me have Armani ones to make it a bit better.

10 years later and I now have to wear glasses to see everything. I did think about laser eye surgery with Optical Express but I'm not sure I'm ready for that. So I've s tuck with the glasses and until a few months ago I was still wearing super subtle frames (D&G of course haha.) But over the past few years, thick glasses have become a bit of a fashion statement and after Andrew taking the plunge and ordering himself a pair of Ray Bans, I started to like the way thick frames looked. So when the opportunity arose for me to get a prescription pair from Glasses Direct I was excited to see they had a Ray Bans section and I just went for it. It was time to get some thick frames.

It was much easier to order online than I thought. I had an eye test that week so all I had to do was send over my numbers and then the glasses arrived a week later.
I love being able to switch between thick frames and my normal glasses depending on how I feel. Thick frames are much more of a statement but sometime I love that. Although I try to wear my frameless pair when I'm with Andrew or we can end up looking like twins haha.

FASHION: Thailand Style With Zatchels, Motel Rocks and Converse

Tuesday, 22 April 2014

Andrew photographed this look for me yesterday and I just love it. It is definitely going to be one of the outfits that I will be taking to Thailand with me. I had a bit of a scary realisation the other day that all of my summer clothes are crop tops and although that has been fine for England, and Maga and every where else I have been it might not be right for Thailand especially for visiting the temples and stuff like that. So this dress is one of the few outfits that I have started collecting that are a little more modest!

I also realised that I am going to need a big, strong bag - walking around the markets and doing all the kind of stuff in Bangkok! I was gifted this Zatchels satchel and it's perfect! It's a very sturdy, thick, leather and very safe with its two buckely bits. I'm going to need to keep all my stuff in there as well as Andrews, so it's a great size - Sunglasses, water, wallets, cameras, emergency snacks haha I also love its super cute holographic design - I found it in the kids section!

The whole outfit is finished off with my new pair of white converse which I am also planning to wear quite alot on holiday. As much as I love sandals I am quite scared about being in a new country with open toe shoes. I'm a bit weird like that haha I don't like wearing sandals when I go into London as I am scared that someone will stand on my toes so I'm pretty sure I will be spending all my time in Bankok in these!

P.S I'd love if you could vote for me in the Matalan Style Challenge this month!

FASHION: Motel Rocks Skater Skirt and Sequin Converse

Friday, 11 April 2014

I love this outfit! I saved up my street team credit to buy this skirt in the last Motel rocks sale. I just love the pattern it's so pink and girly, so totally not me haha I'm not sure what's going on at the moment, I'm so not a girly girl and all of sudden I'm loving the most pink, flowery, girly prints, although it is a skater skirt and that totally is me. It came up alot bigger than my other skater skirt from Motel so I'm going to have to get it taken in a bit which is annoying but it's worth it for such a pretty skirt.

I sometimes find things like this a little harder to style as I don't own any white shoes, I have flip flops but it's not the right time to wear those. When in doubt I pull out my super old silver sequin converse that my grandparents bought for me on one of out many trips to Camden market, they love it there hahah.

I can't wait for it to be warm enough for me to actually wear this, hopefully it wont be long!

FASHION: Sporty Look With Hollister, Converse & M&S

Thursday, 3 April 2014

This is like the comfiest outfit ever. I love my Hollister tracksuit bottoms, I have 3 pairs and wear them quite alot - as does Andrew haha. I love the colours of this pair, they are pretty and girly, which is a little bit essential if we are both going to be going out wearing them out together hahah.

I've finally got a boxy crop which goes perfectly with the whole style, I really need to get some more loose crop tops this year, I have so many but they are all tight and more for the evening! This one is breezy and I have put it in so many outfits already - Who'd have thought you would be able to get a crop top from M&S?! and it was only £12!!

The Converse are new, I've only ever has black ones before because I wear them every single day and that just seemed logical to get an easy colour but when I looked on to the Master Shoes site and saw these in almost every colour is was a little bit star struck, or colour struck haha I could not resist picking a bright colour, and its coming up to summer so pink is perfect!

FASHION: Leopard Bomber Jacket From F&F

Wednesday, 26 March 2014

When the F&F team found out that I had gotten myself a new internship they were kind enough to send me a voucher to pick some new clothes for it. Now, being in digital marketing, it's not all suits and ties, and although this is a little outrageous I couldn't resist picking it, and I'm sure I could get away with it!

It's a really cool material for a bomber jacket, kind of scuba/neoprene style and it's so comfy! I thought it might be a big challenging to style but I wear alot of black when it's not boiling hot outside so it goes perfectly with that. I think it will look super cute over a pair of denim shorts and a crop when it gets warmer too! Either way, I can see this jacket getting alot of wear!

FASHION: McCains & Primark Jumper For Joy

Tuesday, 25 March 2014

This might be the very first time alot of you will see me with my glasses on, and one of the last, I don't wear them out very often but I was just feeling it today you know?

I'm sure you've seen this jumper on TV and in the Metro (which is where I first spotted it.) I wanted one straight away, they are so funny and for £12 they really aren't too bad, plus you can pick one up in Primark - not to mention the 50P off chips voucher you get with it!! Could it get any better?! Well, they are made in Britain, just like McCain Chips haha

I remember when I was younger, every weekend my parents would go out to dinner and my grandparents would come around to baby sit, we would watch blind date and eat McCain's, microwave chips (and microwave pizzas I seem to remember?!) I loved Saturday nights haha

Styling this jumper as always is with one of my 9 pairs of my Primark skinny jeans - total bargains and my much loved everyday classic converse!

EVENT: A Night At The Fair

Wednesday, 28 August 2013

You guys remember my friend Georgia? She came to a couple of blogger events with me a few months back which featured on my blog and we got absolutely wasted - cocktail class then into a launch party. Haha well it seems that she has become my blogger buddy for events, when's she's not travelling the world that is. She was back this week, just back from Thailand and off to Rotterdam on Monday. I had a little event so I thought why not bring her along.

I met her at Mile End station along with some other bloggers and we made our way to Victoria park where they were holding a fun fair. It was quite surreal really, firstly it was very quite as it was a bit of a strange time, just before the evening rush I guess and secondly it was just any old fun fair, it was like a vintage one. We were each given a load of giant old penny things and played around in the arcade for a while. We had one of those creepy laughing clowns in a glass box thing and loads of fortune telling machines and slot machines.

After a good while in there we ventured out past the carousels and down to the bumper cars. Being a good blogger, I thought I'll let Georgia drive and I'll take photos. Bad idea. She's a nut case haha and having Sherin there was not much help either! They spent 10 minutes driving at each other head on while I sat there screaming.

Next up we had a go at the shooting games an then off to the pub!

Thanks to BGO for hosting our super fun night!
