LIFESTYLE: Pretty Flowers To Cheer Me Up

Tuesday, 15 July 2014

Coming home from am amazing holiday is always a sad time but this time even more so, I had the best time ever. I miss seeing something new and amazing everyday, I miss the food and I miss the heat! And the fact that its cold and rainy back home makes it ever worse. The guys at Suttons Seeds sorted me out with a little present to brighten my first week back - they had a pretty bunch of pink flowers delivered to my door in the rain!

So this post is short and sweet just to say a huge thanks! Plus any excuse to fill my blog with pretty flower photos!!

BEAUTY: Nail Polish From ZOYA

Monday, 2 June 2014

Today I have a new brand of polish to introduce you to - ZOYA. They have released 12 new colours for the summer and I picked a few to show you guys here! I though I'd better opt for a mixture of the glitters and plain polishes so the four I picked are called: Alma, which is a super summery glitter orange, Staasi, which is the other glitter is a lovely forest green. Ling is the first of the two plain polishes and is a deep electric blue and the last one is called Kintridge which I'm wearing on my nails currently!

I think Kintridge is my favourite of the four and actually my favourite pink from my whole collection at the moment! It's so barbie and so something that I wouldn't normally go for but I just loved it! I'm wearing half and half with a special edition glitter from Barry m which my parents got for me! I have had so many compliments on it already.

One thing I have to say about the polishes (well, just the pink one as its the only one I've had time to use properly at the moment) is that it was quite hard to apply - Luckily for me, i know how to paint my nails and control a brush properly (thanks mum haha) I also have alot of patience. The polish was very, very runny and dripping everywhere. It also needs a lot of coats to get a deep colour, I'd say in the photo, my pink nails have 3-5 coats each. This doesn't bother me too much and I love the colours so I will continue to use them all!

BEAUTY: Superdrug's 50th Anniversary Polish - GOSH

Monday, 14 April 2014

So remember last week when I showed you some of GOSH's new products? I loved the style of the polish so much but just wasn't keen on the colour, so when I heard that they had released a few new colours for Superdrug's 50th anniversary I was very excited - so excited in fact that I had just painted my nails pink when the postman arrived with these. I couldn't resist.

They are all lovely pastel tones with the amazing matte little look, it reminds me of little tinted snowflakes or a sugar frosted cocktail glass. They genuinely got me excited and I cant wait to try out the other two colours, especially the blue, it looks perfect!

As I said before, one coat is more than enough and that is all I did in the photo below, I think they lasted around two days before they started to chip which isn't bad!

I have already had a go at removing them using my new Primark polish remover twist post, and they came off just as easy as a normal polish, That thing is a lifesaver.

FASHION: Motel Rocks Skater Skirt and Sequin Converse

Friday, 11 April 2014

I love this outfit! I saved up my street team credit to buy this skirt in the last Motel rocks sale. I just love the pattern it's so pink and girly, so totally not me haha I'm not sure what's going on at the moment, I'm so not a girly girl and all of sudden I'm loving the most pink, flowery, girly prints, although it is a skater skirt and that totally is me. It came up alot bigger than my other skater skirt from Motel so I'm going to have to get it taken in a bit which is annoying but it's worth it for such a pretty skirt.

I sometimes find things like this a little harder to style as I don't own any white shoes, I have flip flops but it's not the right time to wear those. When in doubt I pull out my super old silver sequin converse that my grandparents bought for me on one of out many trips to Camden market, they love it there hahah.

I can't wait for it to be warm enough for me to actually wear this, hopefully it wont be long!

FASHION: Sporty Look With Hollister, Converse & M&S

Thursday, 3 April 2014

This is like the comfiest outfit ever. I love my Hollister tracksuit bottoms, I have 3 pairs and wear them quite alot - as does Andrew haha. I love the colours of this pair, they are pretty and girly, which is a little bit essential if we are both going to be going out wearing them out together hahah.

I've finally got a boxy crop which goes perfectly with the whole style, I really need to get some more loose crop tops this year, I have so many but they are all tight and more for the evening! This one is breezy and I have put it in so many outfits already - Who'd have thought you would be able to get a crop top from M&S?! and it was only £12!!

The Converse are new, I've only ever has black ones before because I wear them every single day and that just seemed logical to get an easy colour but when I looked on to the Master Shoes site and saw these in almost every colour is was a little bit star struck, or colour struck haha I could not resist picking a bright colour, and its coming up to summer so pink is perfect!

FASHION: Azerka Rose Print Loose Shift Dress and Inamo St James

Wednesday, 26 February 2014

Maybe you recognise the dress? Maybe just the pattern? Well your right, I loved the pattern so much that I had to get a shift dress version as well as my much loved jumpsuit.

The pretty pinks and green look so good against the black background, I think it's quite edgy and bold but still very feminine! I'd love any garment in this print and Missguided still have a few that I don't have haha Out of the four that's left, I love the playsuit with the lace triming,
As you know, I'm loving shift dresses at the moment, they are great for going out to dinner which I happen to do quite a lot! I also have IBS so everything I eat makes me bloated but in my new dress, who'd know?!
So here it is! Isnt it pretty?

I'd also wear this dress belted in at the waist to give it a completely different shape, it looks like a different dress altogether!

BEAUTY: Valentines Day Nails With Ciate & Nail Art

Friday, 14 February 2014

Happy Valentines Day!

Andrew and I are going to Nandos after he's finished at work today, how romantic haha I have a free whole chicken to claim, at at least he wont be hungry. Hopefully nails these will last me though the weekend for our other plans as well, although its not a big deal if not, this bottle is so cute and mini I can just keep it in my purse for a top up!

So here's what I decided to do with my nails for the occasion, I wanted a nice, thick, in your face, charismas style glitter but for valentines day and I found the perfect one in this mini Ciate Christmas polish called candy cane, but it''s pink. I picked it up at the access all ASOS party over Christmas  along with a couple of other colours. This is the first time my nails have been gel free for ages so it was a great time to give it a test with my little top coat from Nail Art. The polish itself is very thick and although it's a little hard to control, that's the way I wanted it, I'd much rather this than it be all loose and doesn't hold the glitter properly. At first I was a bit worried about the bottle being so small, but I've done all my nails and there still seems to be a load left.

Ciate do the prettiest colours and I'd definitely use them again!
