FASHION: Batiste Style

Monday, 24 March 2014

I go about Batiste on here all the time, I just love the stuff so much, it has saved me on many occasions! I now keep a mini can in my bag wherever I go and another can at Andrews house as thats normally when I need it most!, My hair just seems to get greasier at his house haha.

Today I decided to match my outfits up with some of my favorite scents - Monochrome, Oriental, Cherry, Floral and Tropical!

What do you think?

FASHION: Missguided Zuzka Dogtooth Playsuit

Monday, 17 March 2014

How cute does the playsuit look on?! At first I really wasn't 100% sure about it as I'm more a brighter colour kind of girl, but I think it works really nicely since my hair has washed out and isn't such a deep brown, getting ready for summer!

I was also totally worried about what shoes I was going to pair it, but my new boohoo heels came to the rescue as I can imagine they will with alot of my summer outfit being the only pair of white heels that I own! I love their chunky perspex heel which makes walking in them easy and the thick straps which gives me some reassurance that they aren't just going to fall off my feet, a weird fear I get with strappy shoes haha, just me?

I love that the playsuit comes with a belt - saved me alot of trouble of finding one that matched! It pulled me in perfectly at the waist and added a little bit of extra detail and shine! It also has a super cute scallop detailing at each leg!

FASHION: Azerka Rose Print Loose Shift Dress and Inamo St James

Wednesday, 26 February 2014

Maybe you recognise the dress? Maybe just the pattern? Well your right, I loved the pattern so much that I had to get a shift dress version as well as my much loved jumpsuit.

The pretty pinks and green look so good against the black background, I think it's quite edgy and bold but still very feminine! I'd love any garment in this print and Missguided still have a few that I don't have haha Out of the four that's left, I love the playsuit with the lace triming,
As you know, I'm loving shift dresses at the moment, they are great for going out to dinner which I happen to do quite a lot! I also have IBS so everything I eat makes me bloated but in my new dress, who'd know?!
So here it is! Isnt it pretty?

Belt - Brothers School Belt

I'd also wear this dress belted in at the waist to give it a completely different shape, it looks like a different dress altogether!

LIFESTYLE: My Valentines Day with Andrew - Nandos, Gilgamesh & The Landmark Hotel

Friday, 21 February 2014

I did say that this would be my last valentines day post this year and I'm so sad that it's all over now but I had the best weekend ever, Andrew thought of everything and really made it perfect. Sorry for the long and soppy post but I think this one is more for me, I know that I am going to want to look back at it and remember our amazing weekend together!

 _______________________________________________________

On actual valentines day we ended up at Nandos, I wasn't complaining, I had a craving and a free whole chicken to claim! I love Nandos and it was a great idea considering we hadn't booked anything, I'm sure everywhere else would have been full! So while Andrew munched away on the whole chicken, with chips, and mash, and a side of halloumi, I went for my usual, 5 chicken wings, lemon and herb with creamy mash and macho peas, yummy, I love chicken wings! After that we popped into Pinkberry to get my new favourite new snack! Their cookies and cream flavour is amazing, it tastes just like Oreos but is still loads lighter and fresher tasting than ice cream.

We went back to his and exchanged cards and he gave me the 12 beautiful red roses, which was lovely considering he has been telling me all week he didn't have time to get any, apparently he sent his dad out to get them specially! They are lovely and currently sitting in my bedroom window soaking up the sun!

The next morning we jumped on the tube with our backpacks like proper tourists and headed into London. I had no idea where we were going, this is the first time in our 4 years that Andrew has managed to keep it secret until we actually got there. We got off of our train at Marylebone station, and walked towards our hotel, The Landmark Hotel! It was amazing, and enormous, over 100 years old and very majestic. When we arrived our room wasn't ready so we headed straight down to the spa! After a little bit of swimming and relaxing in the hot tub thing, I fell asleep on the sofa while Andrew spent some time in the sauna, they just aren't my kind of thing, I feel like I'm going to die haha I love a good afternoon in a spa!
Now it was time to check in! Finally, I was so excited to see our room and I wasn't disappointed! what I loved about it was that it wasn't like a typical hotel room, it was all old looking like the rest of the hotel, and not old and broken kind of old, but old and beautiful, you'll see what I mean in the photos! We put down our bags and sat on the bed when all of a sudden, the door bell rang, what?! I didn't realise we had a doorbell haha. Andrew opened the door and a maid came in with a bottle of champagne on ice and strawberries on a silver tray. Andrew had thought of everything!

We didn't have much time as we had to start getting ready for our date! I had suggested Gilgamesh (as I normally do on any special occasion) So we drank our champagne whilst getting ready for dinner! Andrew popped out to get some cash and came back with another bottle of champagne, he's crazy but cute, he bought it because it was pink hahah.

It has always been a silly dream of mine to get picked up in a cab from a posh hotel and that's what happened, it was amazing, especially when I thought that we were getting the train into Camden, it's really not very far! Gilgamesh was also amazing as usual, we both ordered pretty cocktails and got stuck in. The restaurant itself is absolutely huge and everything is made out of wooden carvings, the chairs, the tables, the bar and there are palm trees everywhere. Gilgamesh serves my 2 favourite ever dishes and I couldn't resist to order them both as well as all the others. Hoba Miso Chilean Sea bass, which is covered in a sticky sweet sauce and served wrapped up in a leaf! Andrew and I shared that and the organic rack of breaded lamb, mmmmm we always just order loads of dishes and share them all as the food is too good to only try one dish. Then, my favourite dessert, banoffee crumble, they just don't serve it anywhere else and its so good!
Afterwards we jumped in a cab back to the hotel, after a quick trip to M&S to replenish the strawberry supply and pick up some chocolate we spent the night watching Take Me Out and drinking the rest of the champagne!
In the morning, we had a wonderful buffet breakfast, yes. I did eat two full plates of breakfast haha the decision between a full english or pancakes was just to hard! Afterwards we headed back to the room to pick up our bags and headed home!
The biggest thank you to Andrew for giving me a perfect weekend and making me feel like a princess!

 I love you lots!

FASHION: Missguided SS14 Preview

Tuesday, 11 February 2014

A couple of weeks ago I attended the Missguided SS14 press preview. They had made the showroom really lovely. The clothes were set out in collection on rails, one the I was drawn to immediately was obviously the colourful one, there were so many pretty tones, and they are going big with texture this season too! I also spotted a few co-ords which I am overly excited for, I love matching sets, especially the amazing metallic silver box top and skirt which stood in the centre of the room.

Along with the pretty clothes, there were also amazing new cookies and creme pinkberry samples, which I was very excited about, I love pinkberry! There were cocktails in little jars with cute straws named after models - Which has given me an idea for a future post! cute multicoloured onion shaped meringues, mini, messy tacos and chicken wings, goodies bags and obviously lots of bloggers, it was like a big blogger party.

I am really excited for them to release their SS14 collection and have already spotted a few of the pieces up on the site so keep your eye out!

EVENT: A Night At The Fair

Wednesday, 28 August 2013

You guys remember my friend Georgia? She came to a couple of blogger events with me a few months back which featured on my blog and we got absolutely wasted - cocktail class then into a launch party. Haha well it seems that she has become my blogger buddy for events, when's she's not travelling the world that is. She was back this week, just back from Thailand and off to Rotterdam on Monday. I had a little event so I thought why not bring her along.

I met her at Mile End station along with some other bloggers and we made our way to Victoria park where they were holding a fun fair. It was quite surreal really, firstly it was very quite as it was a bit of a strange time, just before the evening rush I guess and secondly it was just any old fun fair, it was like a vintage one. We were each given a load of giant old penny things and played around in the arcade for a while. We had one of those creepy laughing clowns in a glass box thing and loads of fortune telling machines and slot machines.

After a good while in there we ventured out past the carousels and down to the bumper cars. Being a good blogger, I thought I'll let Georgia drive and I'll take photos. Bad idea. She's a nut case haha and having Sherin there was not much help either! They spent 10 minutes driving at each other head on while I sat there screaming.

Next up we had a go at the shooting games an then off to the pub!

Thanks to BGO for hosting our super fun night!
